Missionaire's Doctrinal Statement
We believe that the Bible (all the books of the Old and New Testaments) is divinely inspired (God-breathed), given by writers uniquely guided by God. It is absolutely trustworthy, without error in the original writings, and has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. II Tim. 3:16,17; II Peter 1:20,21
We believe that God is a person who has revealed Himself as Trinity in unity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - three eternal persons and yet one God, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, measureless in power. We rejoice that he concerns Himself merciful in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that he saves from sin and death all who come to Him by faith in Jesus Christ, the Son. Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; Is. 45:21,22
We believe that Jesus Christ, the true God and true Man, is God's only Son, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, sinless in life, making atonement for the sin of the world by His death on the cross.
We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, His high-priestly intercession for His people, and His personal, visible, bodily, and premillenial return to the world according to His promise. We believe in the Holy Spirit, who came forth from God to convince the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and comfort those who believe in Jesus Christ. John 16:8-11; John 16:16,17 & 26
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin. Therefore, all men are by nature and by choice, sinful and lost. Regeneration is absolutely essential for salvation, and man is justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
We believe that those who accept Christ as Lord and Savior will rejoice forever in God's presence and that those who refuse to accept Christ as Lord and Savior will be forever separated from God. Gen. 1:26; Gen. 3:1-24; Rom. 3:23; Titus 3:5; Eph. 2:8,9
