Annual Inspection Report
Embracing the process:
"On January 21, 2006, Missionaire's Board of Directors voted unanimously on a decision to relocate Missionaire. God has made it very clear to us that our time in Kimball is coming to an end…" These words were in a letter sent out in February 2006, announcing that Missionaire was moving. We began only with a plan to follow God. We had no idea where we were going; only that He had said, "It's time to GO." Since then our staff and students have gone through an incredible process of praying, seeking, and agreeing together on the location that God has chosen in His perfect way - Tompkinsville, Kentucky.
As we go, we remember the past and give God the glory for blessings, lessons learned, and people touched for Jesus simply because God chose to use us. We remember the growing process He took us through, and how it hurts to be molded. His works are awesome, and we love to tell what He's done in and through us!
As we transition from Nebraska to Kentucky, we also look forward to a fresh start with new ministry avenues, probably some new ways of doing things at Missionaire, and definitely new opportunities to grow in our walk with Christ. It's a process that holds new, exciting, sometimes scary changes.
We will continue with the same mission and purpose that we've carried out since 1987 - preparing people and aircraft for mission service throughout the world. It's a broad statement. "Preparing aircraft" is concrete. Inspect it, make repairs and modifications, send it out. "Preparing people" is not concrete. It means helping them learn to fix and fly an aircraft, and giving them tools for surviving on the mission field. But more than that, it means teaching them to be a missionary first - and teaching them to embrace the process and not skip over the real lessons God has for them. "Throughout the world" - that's broad. But one person, committed to the process, taking Jesus as they go - does make a difference.
