Annual Inspection Report
Flight Training:
Missionaire's flight training program is about to expand with a new addition to the training fleet. A newly restored Cessna 172 will be completed soon and will serve as an additional trainer. This 172 was made in 1966 and it has undergone extensive restoration in our aircraft restoration program. For all the details on this airplane see the aircraft restoration page within this annual inspection.
This will bring our training fleet to four aircraft - two Cessna 172's, a Piper Cherokee, and a Cessna 182. We also have a Cessna 206 on the way. It will be the next aircraft restored by Missionaire and should join our fleet late in 2007. The 206, 182, Cherokee, and the new 172 are all owned by individuals who desire to help missions. (For more information on our sponsor-an-aircraft program please visit our web site at www.missionaire.org/sponsor)
The upcoming move will also help our flight training program as we have been talking with the local flight club in Tompkinsville about joining forces with them, adding their aircraft to ours and utilizing our instructors to provide more options for everyone. The simple math is, with more students the fixed cost of insurance can be shared by more students reducing the hourly costs for everyone. We are always looking to reduce costs while improving the quality of training. Our current rates for our IFR 172 or Cherokee are $45.00 wet (including fuel) for Missionaire staff and students.
