Future Lead Shop Mechanic:

My name is Wesley Foote, and I'm currently a student here at Missionaire. Just recently I have been asked to stay on as the Lead Shop Mechanic for a minimum of two years. My ultimate goal is to serve in overseas missions as a Pilot/Mechanic. God has led me down an amazing road up to now.

It all started a long time ago, when I was born. My parents, Jon and Lori Foote, founded Missionaire about the same time I was born. I grew up in the hangar and around airplanes. When I was still small I would do jobs that involved climbing inside of the wings and tails of airplanes - I could do things no one else could do, because I had the smallest hands back then. As I have gotten older I have learned a lot about mechanics, realizing I have always loved to work with my hands ever since I was little. Also, I have had several opportunities to tour with the Continental Singers and through those I was able to travel to several different countries, getting a feel for third world missions. I never really knew what God's calling on my life was, but He has used all these things to shape me for His purpose.

This past year God has really been working on me and showing me what His calling on my life really is. It all began last Christmas with the start of an amazing relationship with an incredible young woman of God whose name is Leighanna Sewell. Through this relationship God has done so much in both of our lives. We have a relationship that is truly in and about God, one in which we can hold each other accountable and strengthen and encourage each other. Our number one purpose and desire is to see each other brought closer to God. Through that God has revealed more and more of His will to us, and in that God renewed my passion for mission aviation.
