Missionaire International has a community
involvement within the following four areas:

Community Projects

A vital part of our program requires our staff and students to get involved in the local community. Some of the past projects have been:

Painting houses for the elderly
Auto repair for single mothers
Home maintenance and replacing roofs for lower income families
Handing out the Jesus film to every home in the area
Working with international students
Planning, remodeling, and running a youth center
Starting a college and career group
Playing in various worship bands for local churches and community events

Missionaire has always encouraged our staff and students to be involved within the local community. We consider this type of involvement in the community as part of our students' training. We allow each student and staff member to choose what area that they desire to be involved based upon their gifts, skills and desires.

Community Impact

Missionaire International's Community Impact opens our training programs to anyone interested in any facet of aviation or mission service.
Our mission prep courses are open to the community and anyone is welcome to join us. From learning about prayer to learning to survive on the mission field, these Bible-based courses offer a variety of topics that are of interest to the general public. For most of these courses there are minimal costs involved for the training materials.
Our Aircraft Maintenance and Flight Training is also available; because of FAA Federal Aviation Administration regulations these are more restrictive and have more substantial costs involved.

Community Information

Because Missionaire is an international organization we have missionaries that have served all over the world returning when they are on furlough. They can bring information about other parts of our world into our community, broadening the horizon and giving a feel for remote parts of the world. For example, a missionary that has worked within the unreached people groups along the Amazon River for the past four years can share insights that may not otherwise come to our community. The community is given opportunities to be involved in events to hear from missionaries and interact with them personally.

Community Response

Community Response is an opportunity for the community to respond to the needs throughout the world. The local community can have an impact in Africa, for example, without needing to travel outside their comfort zone. This can be accomplished through being involved in the training of our missionaries that will travel to some of these remote places, helping to repair an airplane that is being sent overseas, or simply hosting a missionary for orientation or for part of their furlough. We encourage people to become involved in volunteering in unique ways to promote world missions, without having to leave their own community.
